"Best kept secret in Siena"
We stayed here for 3 days the first weekend of
February 2005. A great find outside the gate to Siena.
Do not let the fact that it is located outside the gate
scare you off. We walked everywhere. We had room
#19 with a private balcony that overlooked a valley. I
am sure it is even more beautiful in the spring and
summer.
Room was spacious, bath small but well
appointed and very quiet.
The Santa Catarina served the best continental
breakfast we had out of all the hotels we stayed at on
our month long trip in Italy and also the best coffees.
It does have a lift which is a plus
and the staff was wonderful. One of the maids was even
able to do some emergency mending for us. Also the
best meal of our entire trip was a couple blocks from
here at the Fuori Porta.
Would stay here again for sure!
